Wider Opportunities for Women’s (WOW) DC Metro Area Self-Sufficiency Calculator (DCMASSC) is a free online tool that assists families with low income to develop career plans based on an understanding of their true income needs.
The DCMASSC allows counselors and independent users to benchmark current and prospective income adequacy, calculate budgets and supports eligibility, and explore local jobs which pay self-sufficiency wages. Come learn how gauging a student’s self-sufficiency can demonstrate the impact of participation in adult education activities.
